Much of my printmaking is experimental with unpredictable results. For this reason I prefer to make small sets of related unique prints rather than extended editions. The ideas that inform my work are diverse, reading or a piece of music is as stimulating as something seen.
Printmaking, drawing, painting and stitch form the components of my art practice as do overprinting, layering, burning and cutting.
Etching usually forms the basis of any work, but from there on it is the combined demands of the print itself and the subject that take over. am always happier once the print takes on a life of it's own.
