Ann Thomas
Linocuts, Monotypes.

Frogs, newts, dandelion clocks and the need to be outdoors inspired Ann to sketch in the field from an early age.

A Zoology Degree, Aberystwyth 1974, was followed by a few years teaching in schools and 25 years facilitating outdoor education for the Snowdonia National Park Authority. She studied printmaking modules in Union College, Upper New York State 1988/89, and has enjoyed printmaking ever since.

Ann has exhibited work and led a workshop in Norway on the Vega Archipelago, Norway and published a sketchbook of flowers in 2019 for the islands. She has travelled to the Hortobágyi National Park in Hungary and exhibited work at Canolfan y Plase, Bala 2016 comparing and contrasting mountainous Eryri with the flat Great Hungarian Plain.

Ann is a member of The North Wales Watercolour and Fine Artists Society, the Meirionnydd Artists and has recently become a member of Aberystwyth Printmakers.
