Judy Carpenter

I studied at Loughborough School of Art and The Royal College of Art, working in printmaking and sculpture.  I have exhibited throughout the UK and internationally, most notably at The Royal Academy Summer shows and The Bankside in London.  After moving to Wales twenty years ago I co-founded Aberystwyth Printmakers. 

My art reflects life as I see it.  I often use the female form and repeat symbols of personal significance.  I am forever trying to bring together abstraction and the figurative which battle it out within my work.  I generally work in printmaking, particularly etching and dry point.
