Beth Knight works as a printmaking artist creating original lino cut artwork alongside freelancing as a wildlife illustrator. Having recently moved back to her home country of Wales from Suffolk she is currently working from her new home studio near Cardigan in North Pembrokeshire.

 

She studied at Norwich University of the Arts where she gained her BA Hons degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. During her time at university she learnt the craft of lino cut printmaking and evolved this from a hobby to becoming a printmaking artist, producing small runs of hand pressed lino cuts for sale and exhibition at galleries and fairs.

 

Beth specialises in highly detailed multi layered lino cuts, sometimes combining this with hand colouring using water colours and more recently introducing mono printing techniques and collage to her creative practice. She is inspired by the spirit of nature and the stories within landscapes. Her pieces are based on real places and experiences that evoke those moments of connection between our ancestral souls and the elemental spirits of nature - a certain sensation she feels when experiencing the wonder of the natural world!
