Ann Lewis

I live in a small village with panoramic views down the Conwy Valley. The valley is blessed with woodland, rivers, waterfalls and distant views to the mountains, yet is only a short drive from the coastline of Anglesey and Llyn Peninsula. I have a studio at home where I produce my linocuts either by hand-burnishing or using one of my two book presses.

I am drawn to waterfalls, rivers, cliffs, rock pools and beaches, inspired by the action of water on rock and how it impacts on the landscape.

I enjoy all stages of the printmaking process, from my initial scribbly sketches to cutting and printing.

I'm currently the President of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art.
