Introduction to ‘Reduction’ Lino printing with Beth Knight. 27th and 28th Sept.
All necessary materials and tools will be provided including a suitable design image
to get you started. If you’d like to bring your own image please note the details below
-Please bring a simple design which can be simplified into 2 or 3 colours plus
white. Please note the following requirements for your design:-1) Your design must be printed or drawn on to a piece of paper, (please don’t
bring an image on your phone as there won’t be a way of transferring this to
your Lino.)2) The size of your design needs to be 10.5x15cm so that it fits on to your lino
block.3) Your design needs to work as a simple 2 or 3 colour design plus white
(white, mid tone and dark) Photos are not advisable as these can be too
complex.Students are advised to bring a box to transport their prints home safely as they will
still be slightly wet. (Finished prints will be approx. A4 size).Old clothes or an apron are also advised to save getting good clothes inky!
